High-stakes trial attorney known for winning big verdicts

DALLAS – Trial lawyer Chris Hamilton, known for winning large jury verdicts across Texas and the U.S., has earned selection to D Magazine’s list of top up-and-coming young lawyers for 2018.

The past year has been a groundbreaking one for Mr. Hamilton, beginning with an $18.3 million arbitration award for a Dallas company.

He also co-founded the law firm Hamilton Wingo, LLP, with offices in downtown Dallas, representing individuals who are seriously injured through corporate negligence. To learn more about the firm, visit hamiltonwingo.com.

Mr. Hamilton and other honorees on D’s list of the Best Lawyers Under 40 were nominated by peers, then evaluated by a panel of eminent attorneys who assist the magazine editors in the final selection. The full list is available in the January issue of D Magazine.

Last year, Mr. Hamilton was named to D Magazine’s Best Lawyers in Dallas for 2017, and he is a repeat honoree to Super Lawyers magazine’s annual list of top Texas lawyers. In addition to recognition for his business litigation work, he earned accolades in 2014 and 2016 for securing personal injury verdicts that were among the largest in Texas.

Known as an aggressive courtroom fighter, Mr. Hamilton also launched Lawyers for America with Mr. Wingo in early 2017. The nonprofit provides legal assistance to people whose rights have been violated. The organization sprang out of the federal travel ban that detained foreign nationals. Both attorneys have been nominated for the Dallas Morning News Texan of the Year honors for their work with individuals wrongfully detained during that travel ban.

The trial lawyers at Hamilton Wingo, LLP, are devoted to representing individuals in high-stakes, complex litigation, on a contingent fee basis. They have obtained more than $100 million in verdicts and settlements for their clients. For more information, visit hamiltonwingo.com/.
